Safari Overview.

10 days of wildlife story making, video and photography is what you come for. We take you to meet your cousins the chimps in Nyungwe national park; and the Gorillas at Volcanoes national park in the northern Part of the republic of Rwanda. In Tanzania, we take you to the Big 5 animals in the open plains of Serengeti National Park; and the open caldera of Ngorongoro crater with her rich population of predators and hunters.

Right as you get set for this unforgettable vacation; the lions, leopards, wildebeest, Buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, and more await. The meals, accommodation, transportation and more are all set to your best liking. The trip starts at Kigali international airport and ends at Arusha, Tanzania.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali airport. Pick up and transfer to your hotel.

Arrive safe at Kigali international airport for the start of your tour in Rwanda and Tanzania. Our company representative will welcome and brief you on what to lookout for in the land of Athousand hills. Thereafter, hit the road to your lodge for check-in and refreshment.

The evening is for taking a tour around the historical, shopping and cultural attractions in one of the smartest cities in the continent of Africa. Among the places to explore include the local markets, the genocide museum and the convention Centre. At sunset, return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

Day 2: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Start your morning with lip-smacking coffee meal at your hotel. Afterword, hit the road to Nyungwe national park, with an enroute stopover for lunch and sight-seeing. Watch the zigzag roads, rolling hills and lush plantations in the countryside. You will have a safe arrival at your lodge in the park, settle in the room, and later go for chimp trekking briefing. The day ends with sweet slumber after dinner at the lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee Trekking and canopy walk adventure

At 5am, we settle with breakfast, and then go for a thrilling 1-4 hours’ chimpanzee trekking experience with expert guides. As said; Chimpanzees are among the wisest primate species and man’s closest relatives, possessing over 98% human like DNA. One of the observation that confirms this assertion is the resemblance of mans and chimpanzee figures. One hour is your reward for photography, videography and questions to your guide.

After watching the unique be unique behaving of their chants, using grass to pick ants from the ground, imitating human acts, you will have a lunch break, followed by a canopy walk experience in the thick of the Jungle. End this day with dinner and sweet snooze at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

Wakeup to a beautiful sunrise view of the misty Nyungwe forest. After breakfast, you will hit the road to Volcanoes national park, with different stopovers along Lake Kivu to capture the beautiful sceneries and different villages.

Have lunch enroute and a late arrival at the lodge near Volcanoes national park for dinner and a sweet slumber.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking

Start the very early in the morning with a heavy breakfast meal at the lodge. After pick all the required documents, packed lunch, and trekking gear and go to the park headquarters where the ranger guides will meet, register and brief you on all the trekking dos and don’ts. Mountain Gorillas are only found in the continent of Africa. These gentle giants are fun watching as they walk, play, and feed.

After the 30-minute briefing, you will be assigned a gorilla family to track, and accompanied on a 1-8 hours’ forest search, and identification of the different plants, forest birds, caves and more. Upon finding them; you will be rewarded one hour of having a close look at your cousins and taking photos. After words, return to lodge for refreshment and a relaxed evening hours. Dinner and a nap mark the end of the day.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park

Start your day with hot cup of coffee and thereafter hit the road to the untouched savannah plains of Serengeti national park in the northern part of the republic of Tanzania. On the road, understand the difference in landscape formation, culture and beauty of the two countries. You will have two-hour drive to Kigali international airport for a flight to Arusha Tanzania.

There, our company driver guide will meet, brief and drive you on a 6-7 hours’ road trip to your lodge in Serengeti. Lunch will be served enroute and an evening arrival for refreshment, dinner and a sweet slumber. 

Day 7: Game drive and cultural tour

Kick start your day with a lip-smacking breakfast meal at the lodge. After, go for a 3-4 hours’ game drive experience in the open savannah grassland where you may encounter among others the Buffaloes, waterbuck, lions, zebras, wildebeest, leopards, cheetah, and lots more. The guide will ensure all questions are answered, and you are able to see and have facts of the park plants, birds, animals, landscape and history.

What follows that is lunch, and an evening visit to the Masai warriors in their local community. End the day with laughter’s and stories of the renowned herd’s men of Africa; the Masai warriors. Dinner and overnight marks the end of the day.

Day 8: Game drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro crater

The day starts early with game drive to catchup with the different animals from their night duty. The first 3-4 hours of the day is dedicated for knowing what happens in the wilderness early morning. On a lucky day, one may come across notably; the lions from their night duty; the buffaloes, hyenas, giraffes, and more. After feeding your eyes, next thing is getting back to the breakfast table, and check-out of the lodge for a transfer to Ngorongoro Crater Lake. Upon arriving at your lodge in the evening, check-in to the lodge for refreshment, dinner and a peaceful nap.

Day 9: Full day game drive

Start your day with delicious heavy breakfast meal at the lodge. Afterword’s pickup your lunch meal and get to the vehicle for a full day game viewing experience. The ultimate satisfaction should be having an encounter with that favorite animal, bird, reptile or all.

Ngorongoro is one of Africa’s natural wonders with all the big5 cats, and the largest land caldera. Though there is no guarantee of what animal you will get to see, you will lookout for among others; the lions, wildebeests, zebras, leopards, buffaloes, warthogs, buffaloes, and more. Birds such as the owls, lovebirds, vultures, ostriches and more. You will have a picnic lunch, and the evening spend exploring the Crater Lake; with scenic view of the animal hideouts, and more. At sunset, drive to your lodge for dinner and a nap.

Day 10: Departure

After a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge, you will depart for a drop-off Arusha Tanzania. The drive to the airport offers clear views of the eye-catching sceneries such as rolling hills and lush plantation cover.

There will be a lunch stopover and an early arrival at the drop-off point where our dedicated driver guide will wish you a safe flight.
