Trip Overview

In this 7 days safari, you will explore Uganda’s prime safari destinations; with each park offering a unique attraction, and sceneries. From the lowland plains of Lake Mburo with antelopes such as the zebras, Uganda Kobs, and impalas, to the misty Jungle of Bwindi impenetrable national park for man’s cousins the endangered mountain gorillas.

Gorillas are only found in the continent of Africa; around the lush Virunga chain of mountains which spans through Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. The roar of a lion comes within the last 24 hours of the 7 days safari in Uganda. This is a road trip for you to uncover more attractions and the beauty of the pearl of Africa. It starts and ends at Entebbe international airport.

Detailed Safari

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park

Today; our driver guide will meet and greet you at the agreed pickup point. A briefing will be done in regards to the activities that will take place in each destination to be visited. The driving time from Kampala to Lake Mburo national park is 3-4 hours; with a stopover at the equator for photography and to watch the activities at the imaginary line dividing the earth between the northern and southern hemisphere. Lunch follows, and an evening arrival at your lodge for check-in, refreshment, dinner and a sweet slumber.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise

Wakeup to a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and thereafter visit the animals in their habitat. There options of the day cycling to the animals, using foot or on a vehicle. These will draw you to the animals; as you get to watch and take photos, and wilderness videos. The notable residents include; warthogs, gazelles, zebras, impalas and more. Close up this day with dinner and sweet slumber.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

The day starts with a yummy breakfast meal at the lodge; and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The Journey time takes approximately 5-6 hours plus a lunch stopover and stunning views of the landscape, plants, and dotted homesteads. Arrive at the lodge in the evening hours for dinner and a sweet slumber.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and Batwa pygmies’ tour

Wakeup to bright day with a cup of coffee. Afterwards, pack your trekking documents and items and go to the park headquarters for a pretrekking briefing. The ranger guides will explain to you the trekking dos and don’ts; assign a Gorilla family, and accompany you on a 1-8 hour Gorilla trekking experience; with chances of encountering the different primates co-habiting with the Gorillas. The trekking exercise is from where the Gorillas were last spotted, through the trees and lush bush. Upon locating your cousins; you have an hour for watching and taking photos of the apes eating, playing, and interacting with each other.  

Depart the gorilla territory after accepting the fact that man and the Gorillas share over 98% human like DNA. Have lunch as planned, and transfer to the lodge for refreshment, and a cultural experience with the Batwa pygmies. End this day with a dinner and sweet slumber.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Greet your intestines with a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, and after start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park, with Lunch at Ishasha sector and later a sunset game drive in such for the tree climbing lions. End the day at the lodge with dinner and a nap.

Day 6: Lion Tracking experience and Kazinga channel tour

After breakfast, you will head-out to the wilderness for a lion trekking experience. There is a challenge to the ranger guide to find the lions in their territory. The tracking time is determined by how far the kings of the jungle have moved. It will also be a great day to encounter other animals in the wilderness; most such as the Jackson heart beast loved by the lions as food. Other animals to lookout for include: the buffaloes, leopards, elephants, warthogs, and more. One of the interesting fact of lions is that they hunt in groups, and mark their territory using urine.

After watching and taking photos of lions, you will have a Lunch break, followed by a 2-3 hours’ boat cruise in the open Kazinga channel. At the waters, the serenity will be felt, as well as some of the aquatic animals like the hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Departure

At day break, have breakfast, and then check-out of the lodge for a 7-8 hour drive to Entebbe international airport, with a stopover for Lunch. You will have a glance at the beautiful sceneries and busy towns.
