Overview
This 6 day Serengeti and Ngorongoro safaris takes you to a memorable adventure through Tanzania’s top wildlife destinations. The safari begins from Arusha to Serengeti national park to enjoy a full day game drive in the endless savannah plains known for homing the African big five and the annual wildebeest migration that is seasonal.
Head to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with enroute tour at Olduvai Gorge museum. A full day in Ngorongoro offers a breathtaking encounter with wildlife such as lions, elephants and rhinos. The safari ends after a return to Arusha with optional visit of Arusha National Park.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival and pick up. Overnight stay in Arusha city
Arrival at Kilimanjaro international Airport (JRO) where our safari driver guide will be waiting for you for meet and greet, briefing and introducing you to Tanzania – the soul of Africa. The guide driver will later on transfer you to the hotel booked and an optional Arusha city tour.
Day 2. Transfer to Serengeti national park
Have breakfast and then hit the road to Serengeti National Park a home to diverse wildlife including the African big five animals. The local guide will be pointing out some of the common flora and found while on this journey.
Arrive and check in the accommodation facility (lodge or tented camp) for your lunch followed by an evening game drive which will last for about 2 hours watching over animals like lions, elephants, warthogs, buffalos, impalas, cheetahs and many more others. Return to the lodge for your dinner
Day 3 &4. Full day safari in Serengeti NP
Spend these two days exploring the beautiful scenery covered with acacia trees and abundant wildlife. Spending 2 days exploring the beautiful scenery rewards you with an opportunity to explore different corners spotting animals like zebras, gazelles, elephants, wildebeests, lions, buffalos, impalas, elands, rhinos, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and more of birdlife such as raptors, ostriches, secretary birds, vultures, ibis and more. Great moments will be enjoyed such as picnic lunch, bush breakfast and more.
Day 5. Drive to Ngorongoro Crater area, enroute tour of Olduvai Gorge Museum
After breakfast, depart to Ngorongoro Crater area with an enroute tour to Olduvai Gorge an archeological site where the human skull was discovered thousands of years ago. Enjoy a scenic drive through lush vegetation accompanied with rift valley escarpments. Arrive and head to the lodge for overnight stay.
Day 6. Ngorongoro crater game drive and Departure
Take a 5 hours’ game drive in Ngorongoro Crater area exploring its beauty of endless plains, wildlife and many more others. Expect to meet animals like lions, leopards, buffalos, rhinos, elephants, gazelles, elands, wildebeests, jackals, hyenas, vervet monkeys, bat eared fox and more. Later head back to Arusha for departure to mark the end of your 6-days safari.
