Overview
Take part in this 3 Days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari to explore the best of this part as you take a drive to and back to Kampala or Entebbe accompanied with game drives, boat cruise on Kazinga channel and chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge. Spending an hour with chimpanzees is amazing as you also take 2 hours while spotting wildlife.
This safari covers wildlife such as buffalos, elephants, buffalos, baboons, crocodiles, hippos, hyenas and more. The road trip is through rolling hills, table like structure of tea plantations, banana plantations, forests, views of Rwenzori mountain ranges and then endless savannah plains.
Detailed Itinerary
Day1. Pick up from Kampala/Entebbe and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
The driver guide will pick you from the airport or at the hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park using Mityana-Mubende-Fort portal road.
This journey is amazing as you pass through the lush green rolling hills to endless savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth national park. The journey takes about 7 to 8 hours’ drive including stopovers and one designed for hot lunch at one of the local restaurants.
Day2. Game drive and boat cruise

Wake up early and take a morning game drive to catch up with early raisers such as hyenas, lions, leopards, warthogs, elephants, buffalos and many more others. The game drive will last for about 3 hours but more will be enjoyed. In the afternoon, head to Kazinga channel for a boat cruise where you will encounter water animals and birds like the pelicans, Egrets, hamerkops, fish eagles, king fishers, isolated buffalos, elephants, hippos, crocodiles and many more.
Day3. Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura gorge and transfer back to Kampala
Wake up, have your breakfast which will be followed by a short drive to Kyambura Gorge for chimpanzee trekking experience. This will begin with briefing by the park ranger guide who will tell you about the rules and regulations to follow while trekking. Searching chimpanzee will begin as you be spotting unique birds like Martial Eagle, Bar-tailed Godwit, Black-rumped Buttonquail, African skimmer and more.

Upon meeting the chimpanzees, spend an hour while following chimps as you learn about their behaviors and movements.
After this experience, you will head back to Kampala through Fort portal as you enjoy the great views of Rwenzori Mountain ranges, tea plantations and more. Arrive and head to the airport where you will be dropped to mark the end of the safari.
