Medical Camps , Empowering Healthy Lives
The medical camps at HADC are uplifting programs which offer free or at least pocket-friendly healthcare services. Medical camps by HADC could also address critical health care needs in the community of Namawojjolo hence enhancing their impact. Skilled professionals under HADC could play a vital role in delivering and designing such initiatives, aligning with the center's common goal of promoting sustainable futures among the locals.
Like many rural areas in Uganda, Namawojjolo faces healthcare challenges that may include limited access to health centers. There is also high prevalence of diseases like malaria which accounts for a large number of hospital admissions. As a community hub, HADC’s role this year aims to serve over 300 individuals monthly. This will make an ideal spot for medical camps.
Such camps provide treatments, screenings and healthcare education hence complementing HADC’s efforts to support physical, spiritual and emotional wellbeing. An Integration with HADC Programs would also emerge, for example, child sponsorship especially for health.
HADC’s sponsorship program now supports tens of children with education, books, uniforms and meals. This is done at only $35 a month at the Dream Kindergarten & Junior School, which also includes Saturday feeding during school holidays.
