The Hope Alive Dream Centre in Namawojjolo, Uganda invites and warmly welcomes each of you willing to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable families and children. Through its education program under the Dream Kindergarten & Junior School and several other community programs, one’s support would empower and support the next generation.
Whether you provide tools for teenage mothers, sponsor a child teach, fund meals or volunteer, every action counts. Below are some of the impactful ways to get involved and each is designed to address critical needs, and improve sustainable change.
Sponsor a Child’s School Fees at Only $35 USD
One can sponsor a child’s education at Dream Kindergarten & Junior School at just $35 USD and this amount would cover school fees, supplies like books along with uniforms. Sponsorships may also include meals that are simply safe and better for the vulnerable children so as to enhance their health and focus.
Sponsors will receive updates on their child’s progress hence forging a personal connection. This small investment does not only break the cycle of poverty but also empower a child to dream big for the future, and achieve their potential. Such efforts count.
Supporting Teenage Mothers with a Sewing Machine.
Vulnerable teenage mothers in Namawojjolo often face financial hardships and stigma. A sewing machine can enable them earn a living hence changing their lives. One can provide a machine and training as a one-time donation hence enabling a young mother to start a tailoring business.
This does not only empower her to earn a sustainable income but also support her child and regain financial independence. These women at HADC can be witnessed as they thrive while contributing to their families and community. One’s gift fosters hope and self-reliance hence breaking barriers for vulnerable mothers.
Volunteer at any of Our Programs
Hope Alive Dream Centre in Namawojjolo offers a wide range of volunteering opportunities from childcare, to community outreach and sports coaching. Whether one is mentoring youth or assisting with health medical camps or may be supporting infrastructure projects like building roads and toilets, such skills are highly valued. Volunteers work along dedicated local staff, ensuring there's sustainable impact.
Willingness to learn and serve are the specific qualifications required other than any tangible experience. Long or short-term placements are available with the host family staying for cultural immersion. Teaching at Dream Care School
Volunteers are also needed to teach at Dream Kindergarten and Junior School where they can inspire children, especially through education. No formal teaching experience is required and volunteers are only required to be enthusiast and a good desire to mentor. Subjects like Math, English, and art or leading extracurricular activities hence impacting students up to Primary 6 level.
One’s presence would provide role models for vulnerable children where many are sponsored as a result to poverty. Teaching at Namawojjolo school offers volunteers an opportunity to culturally immerse themselves with the local people and establish meaningful connections. Committing to a few weeks or months to help shape the young minds for a brighter future with Hope Alive Dream Centre is such a lifetime experience.
Supporting Our “Weekend Feeding” Program at Dream Care
Hunger is another major issue faced by many children in Namawojjolo especially over weekends when school meals aren’t available. Our Weekend Feeding Program normally takes place on every Saturday of the week and provides nutritious meals to ensure kids stay healthy and entirely ready to learn. One’s donation starting at any amount buys food supplies hence supporting vulnerable families.
Volunteers can also assist in meal distribution to the local people hence creating community bonds. This program intends to reduce malnutrition that has been a critical barrier to education and children growth. By supporting Weekend Feeding programs, one is nourishing bodies and spirits hence making a direct impact.
