The Story of Dream Kindergarten & Junior School
Dream Kindergarten & Junior School is the hope for the future that shines bright right in the heart of Namawojjolo Community. The school was established in 2022 under the umbrella of the Hope Alive Dream Centre, this institution has quickly grown into a cornerstone of education and transformation for vulnerable children.
What began as a modest kindergarten has evolved into a thriving junior school, now admitting vulnerable students up to Primary 6 as of 2025, with just one class left to complete the primary section.
The school’s mission is to provide exceptional education, spread discipleship and create opportunities for vulnerable children who might otherwise be left behind.
The Good Impact of Discipleship
The whole idea of Dream Kindergarten & Junior School was inspired by a dire need to nurture young minds in the most satisfying way. Early enough, the founders of Dream Kindergarten and Junior school recognized that there was to shed light on how education is more than just academics. Education is way bigger than just books and pens and can largely impact in shaping character, building a foundation for life lo instilling values, and building a foundation for lifelong growth. In 2022, the school opened its doors to young learners while offering a safe and supportive environment for kindergarten aged children. The early years were focused on laying the groundwork for academic success while embedding principles of faith and kindness.
The school’s vision is yet to expand and include older children while adding classes up to P.6. The leadership understood that discipleship while mentoring children in their spiritual, social development and emotional life leads to a thrived and well-structured school type of environment.
A classroom setting and kind of space allows consistent engagement where teachers can model values, foster a sense of belonging and guide discussions. By expanding it further to reach higher primary levels, Dream Kindergarten & Junior School ensures that children remain within nurturing environment for longer hence deepening the impact of its mission.
Nourishing Body & Soul at Dream Kindergarten and Junior school
Education at Dream Kindergarten & Junior School is not just about class lessons and textbooks, the school also understands that a hungry child cannot learn or thrive academically effectively and this is why providing meals is a core component of the school’s program. Food received at school is the primary source of nutrition for many.
The school relies on donations and well-wishers to sustain this feeding program, whereas contributions toward food supplies are always in high demand. The meals provided at school not only support physical health but also create an environment where children feel valued and cared for.

The inability to afford school fees is one of the so many challenges faced by the families of Namawojjolo community and Uganda at large. Several households where many vulnerable children come from face limited access to basic needs like food and shelter these are a daily struggle. Dream Kindergarten & Junior School recognized this reality and now operates on a model that prioritizes accessibility.
Parents continue to contribute a small amount towards their children’s education and the backbone of the school’s financial sustainability lies in its child sponsorship program. Sponsorships help to cover school essentials like uniforms, books, pens and more.
This tremendous support is a turning point for many families as it offers their children a chance to break the cycle of poverty through reliable means like education. Sponsors especially individuals or organizations from around the world have become partners in the school’s mission while investing in the future of these young learners. Sponsorships are not just financial contributions but a personal commitment to a child’s growth.
Capital Projects At HADC’S Dream school
Since the school has expanded, definitely it’s demanding standards and favorable infrastructure. Dream Kindergarten & Junior School is currently undertaking several capital projects to enhance a conducive learning environment for children.
One of the most demanding projects is the construction of proper toilet facilities as proper sanitation is essential for the health and dignity of the students. The school is appealing to well-wishers to help make this project a reality.
Other planned projects include expanding classrooms to create enough space for increasing population of pupils.
Each of these capital projects fall in line with the school’s long-term vision.
