Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park, Ziwa Rhino tracking and Boat Cruise on the Nile River
On your day 1, our driver guide will meet you either at your hotel or at the Airport in Entebbe. There will be a briefing about your 7 days Uganda safari itinerary by the guide. You will then start your journey to the northwest of Uganda. In Nakasongola district, you will pause for a rhino tracking tour at Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch. Then you will proceed to Masindi district for lunch. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will be taken for a guided boat cruise on the Nile River. This is an opportunity to sail towards the great Murchison Falls. You will also spot numerous aquatic wildlife. Animals to see during a boat cruise include crocodiles, hippopotamuses, African fish eagles, olive baboons and cape buffaloes etc. You will be taken to your booked lodge. Check in, wait for dinner and have your overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning game drive and transfer to Kibale National Park

After your early morning breakfast, check out of your lodge. Your driver will take you for a game drive in the northern sector. Look out for plenty of animal species. Lions, leopards, warthogs, African elephants, African buffaloes, Rothchild’s giraffes, waterbucks and Jackson’s hartebeests etc. are available. You will continue to Kibale National Park with an enroute lunch. Arrive in Kibale NP and check in at your booked lodge, have your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trek and Bigodi wetland tour
On this third day, you will start with an early morning breakfast. Your driver will collect you to go for a chimp trek. You will arrive at Kanyancu Visitors Center for registration. After you are briefed by the ranger, you will start your trek for a habituated chimp group. You will find them and spend an hour watching how they behave. Taking photos is also allowed. You will hike back to the starting point. Your driver will take you back to your lodge.

Freshen up and have a delicious lunch. In the afternoon you will be taken for a Bigodi village tour. You will have a cultural encounter with the Batooro and Bakiiga people. Here, you will gain knowledge about their lifestyles. They will also entertain you through traditional songs and dance. You can also explore the pristine Bigodi swamp to spot various wildlife species like primates and birds. Your driver will return you to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, equator experience, Explosion craters and boat cruise
Wake up in the morning for breakfast and check out of the lodge soon after. Your guide will drive you to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This is almost 2 hours away from Kibale National Park and you will get lovely views of the Rwenzori ranges. You will arrive in Queen Elizabeth National Park where you will have an Equator experience in Kikorongo. Take photos and witness various experiments. You will also explore the Explosion Craters and take photos.

You will continue to spot plenty of wild animals. These include antelopes, cape buffaloes, lions, elephants etc. You will check in at your lodge and have lunch. You will go for a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. During this tranquil experience, you will spot plenty of wildlife along the banks. These include the hippos, crocodiles, cape buffaloes, pied kingfishers and African fish eagles etc. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will wake up for an early morning breakfast. Check out of your lodge and go for the early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains. You will spot numerous wild animals and birds. These include lions, leopards, African elephants, antelopes, warthogs, hyenas, cape buffaloes etc. you will continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This scenic road trip takes 7-8 hours from the Kasenyi Plains. You will have an enroute lunch.
You will arrive in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and check in in your booked lodge. you can spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to the cool forest condition. You can also enjoy identifying the different bird species that come to the lodge compound. You will have your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: Gorilla tracking and Batwa community tour
After your early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will meet your guide. With your packed lunch, your guide will take you to the trailhead. You will have a brief meeting with the ranger and you will know the habituated gorilla group you will track. Your gorilla trek will involve moving along gorilla trails guided by the armed ranger and a seasoned tracker. This generally starts by 8:00 AM and will take between 2 to 6 hours.

After encountering the habituated gorilla group, you will stand at least 7 meters away from them and observe them for an hour. Take the photos of them for the precious memories in the future. You will come back to the starting point and get a certificate for completing your gorilla trek. You will then return to your lodge to ensure that you freshen up.
In the afternoon, you will be taken to the forest adjacent communities. This is an opportunity to experience the unique cultures of the Batwa and Bakiiga. They will offer exciting insights about their unique history. They are also great entertainers with exciting traditional songs and dances. Learn about their cooking techniques, treatment of illness and how they hunted in the forest with local tools. You will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: Depart to Kampala/Entebbe
After your delicious early morning breakfast, check out of your lodge. Your driver will take you back to Kampala with an enroute lunch in Mbarara. This will be at Kigongo Cultural Center. You will continue to Kampala, or be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. This will be the end of your 7 days Uganda safari.
